I knew the title would get some of you in here?

I am driving up to Wilmington, DE on Friday 30 July for my 31st High School Reunion.

Finster and I are getting together on Saturday afternoon for a burger and a gut bomb ice cream sundae at a famous local little diner.

If there are any other Forumfolk in the TriState area who can make it, we'd like to extend a huge invite to ya.

Respond to this post or shoot me an email at mandojamr at Yahoooooooooooooooooo daught com.

Still working on the FloydFest after action report and should get that up later today. Suffice it to say, I am exhausted and it was a phenomenal, magical musical event.

Hell micah, Maryland touches Delaware so that could be Tri-State too.

I think it really means northern DE, Philly (SE PA) and NJ but anyone that can make it is welcome.

We didn't have a 30th reunion but a good friend of mine from the Class of 1980 organized her 30th and asked if I would come to a combined reunion since we were all there together. One thing led to another and now we have about 300 people from the Classes from 1978-1982 coming. It should be a fun time. I looked at the Top 40 music list from 1979 on the reunion site and was embarrassed. Then I promptly emailed the DJ (friend and classmate) and suggested that "Touch of Grey" might be more appropriate than "The Pina Colada" song by Rupert Holmes. But at least 1978 gave us Gerry Rafferty's "Baker Street", "Boogie Oogie Oogie" by A Taste of Honey and Foreigner's "Double Vision".

I am looking forward to it - my how I have changed from my uber right wing days of yore.

Do you think I will get in trouble if I take my guns and copies of the Constitution?

I digress...........

Mando , I remember those songs . I do not want to hear any of them ever again . I listened to City to City last year . Pass
That party sounds like a damn good time . I hope it is .

I do not know your start locale , but yes , you know Mando ,
you are entering the deep blue sea .
Now your going to get me in trouble . I will digress as well .

The Constitution and probably your guns ( that pesky recent SCOTUS ruling ) are safe . Don't bring Any Christian media of any kind , or hide it well .
Other religions are O.K. - except for Judaism . We are a bit unsure now . It was so much easier in '66

Oh, god, especially Foreigner. I'm a '79 grad, and the idiots I went to high school with picked that horrible song as our "class song." The others I had mercifully forgotten.

What does all this mean?

I'd love to attend a forum get-together some time but unfortunately, this weekend I will be, um, driving past Bridgeport.

I am going to pass , Ring . Lots of potential disagreement , w/ lots of heat & little light ( GD tie in ) . I don't have the energy or interest . I ought to have been more clear that it was a little note to Mando . I'm sorry for any confusion .

Ring , Deb left tonight . She is working the event over the week-end . She says :(

Here are some vids of 3 - 24 - 90 , ( I believe you just listened to this )

Thanks and thanks to Deb as well for your kind offers. Some day!! They played in CT earlier this year too; if they do Mohegan Sun next year I will try to get there.

Anyway these Garcia clips are certainly cheering me up (while taking a drastic toll on work productivity). Keep 'em comin' :)

Take 2 bottles of your malts in twin holsters. Get one of those bandoliers you see in bars that have undrinkable things in them (like underberg - do you have that in the US?) and replace with miniature malts. Expensive but impressive!!
ok, I've never done it - being out of work I'm probably tighter [cheaper] than our resident Scot RTWS - but as it's you Mando, I'm now going to have an Auchentoshan, and it's only 7.50 pm. Cheers, and enjoy your weekend reunion!!

Micah,
PA,DE,NJ tri state area.

We discovered in a "where do you live" thread a few months ago, that Mando and I grew up within minutes of one another. We went to rival high schools, although Mando was a few years befor me. ;) Sorry Mando!

I still live in Wilmington and Mando still has family in the area, so we decided that next time he was coming up this way, that we would get together at local eatery that we both used to frequent back in the high school days.

This will actually be the First annual get together. Who knows, maybe it will become an annual thing. traditions have to start somewhere right! :)

I have not previously met anyone from the forum in person, so I am looking forward to getting together.
Anyone in the area that is free on Sat. is welcome to join us.

That is very cool . Friends at a ol' town burger joint . Americana .
Your circles must intersect pretty close , re: " minutes from each other " .
